In the video below, Dr. Brett Walkenhorst discusses the challenges associated with cellular detection. Bastille’s technology is able to detect mobile phones across all traffic channels and packets, contrary to many other detection systems that are limited to identifying certain control packets from cell phones. This comprehensive approach guarantees that every device is observed, offering vital insight into the wireless area.

Cellular detection, it turns out it's really hard to differentiate one device from others among all of the traffic resources within a cell network. Bastille practice Nut some years ago, and we have been able to see cell phones for all traffic channels, for all traffic packets, not just certain control packets.

Whereas a lot of these detection systems, they can only see a specific kind of control packet because it says, hey, this is me. It's it says some kind of unique identifier that people can use to isolate that device. The problem is that those packets are few and far between.

So you don't get a lot of information and you may have a phone somewhere that goes undetected for a significant period of time. So the ability to detect all of that information is crucial for maintaining that visibility into the wireless space.
