Excerpt From Bluetooth Vulnerabilities (Part 2) Webinar
Watch this short video from CTO, Dr. Brett Walkenhorst about the BLE and Wi-Fi Channels
Among the many physical layer channels provided by Bluetooth low energy technology are the overlap between the three most popular Wi-Fi channels in the US and a wide variety of other channels. The complexities brought about by the wider range of channels that are accessible by both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth highlight how difficult it is to maintain a system that is so dynamic.
So speaking of COVID in spectrum sharing, this is just one illustration of the three most commonly used wifi channels in the US overlaid on the forty physical layer channels available through Bluetooth low energy. Now there's more channels in both wifi and Bluetooth. But that gets really messy. So just to illustrate how these kind of have to coexist together, this just gives you an idea that they're all sharing the same two point four gigahertz band.
